St. Michael and the Anchor of Identity

Who is like God?

The Feast of the Archangels isn’t just a reminder that heaven fights for us—it’s a revelation of how.

In Scripture we glimpse Michael twice in combat. Jude tells us:

“The archangel Michael, contending with the devil, disputed about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a reviling judgment, but said, ‘The Lord rebuke you.’” (Jude 1:9)

And again in Revelation:

“Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.” (Revelation 12:7–8)
